Gaunt Neck:
Gaunt Neck is located on a gorgeous 75-acre peninsula. Granite pillars at the entrance to Gaunt (locally pronounced Gant) Neck will welcome owners and their guests and serve as silent sentrys to declare the exclusivity of Gaunt Neck. The 20 lots in Gaunt Neck range in size from just under 2-acres to 6-acres in size; most lots are over 3-acres in size and all lots have at least 300-feet of saltwater frontage, some significantly more.
The road to Gaunt Neck passes through and serves Meduncook Point also; however, the roadway through Meduncook Point will have no direct driveway access and will have 75-foot wide wooded buffers on each side of the road. Underground utilities will assure uninterrupted views.
Gaunt Neck has two common areas; one a 3-acre lot set aside to preserve Native American quartz mining sites and the other at the southern point of the peninsula will provide parking and access to a wharf, ramp and float adjacent to a protected deep water-mooring field. Near the wharf a settler’s cemetery can be found and two pre-revolutionary building sites have been located on individual lots in Gaunt Neck. Roadways and common areas will be owned and maintained by a homeowners’ association.
